Scouts Water Activity Centre (affectionately known as SWASH) is the home of water adventures for Scouts across Sydney.

Only 4km to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, Scouts and Leaders can have the opportunity to paddle, sail or powerboat around the best harbour in the world.

SWASH Joey Paddling morning is a fantastic way to introduce Joeys and accompanying adult members to the wonders of paddling in canoes. Their equipment is excellent, the volunteer staff are friendly and knowledgeable. We had a wonderful morning, much to the surprise of families who had not been in a canoe before. The Joeys who also did the swim/float tasks at Woolwich Baths, gained their OAS Paddling 1. They were stoked!

I was so impressed with both the facilities and the professionalism of trainers at SWASH on my recent Water Rescue course. My Scout son has also attended a weekend canoe course at SWASH with other Scouts who travelled from regional NSW to make use of this great facility in the heart of Sydney Harbour. Excellent courses and a friendly team.

I recently had the pleasure of joining the SWASH team for a half-day canoe adventure, and it was a fabulous experience! I was amazed by the stunning and unique scenery in Homebush Bay, and how much fun it was to explore the sites by canoe. The challenge level was perfect, offering just the right amount of excitement for scouts, venturers, and leaders alike. Thank you to the expert team who guided and supported us – I’ll be back!
