We held our first activity for the season this weekend, with a great group of Leaders and one Venturer Scout all working towards their canoe qualifications.

There was a lot of fun had out on the harbour, paddling to avoid ferries and sailing boats while seeing the beautiful Harbour Bridge in the distance.

Participations also worked on vital skills, including water rescues, and the highwayman’s hitch for our quick release tows.

These training days are a great opportunity for Leaders to meet each other and have some fun while developing skills to take back to their Groups for future activities.
